1866, CDV with Collage Type Card with Portraits of the First 17 American Presidents, Very Fine.
This delightful card with photographically reduced portraits of all the Presidents through Andrew Johnson, was copyrighted in 1866 but the name of the copyright holder is not given. Some of the portraits appear to be from photographs, but most are photos of paintings. This 4” x 2.5” card is in nice condition, without folds or tears. The corners have been trimmed and there is a small ink smudge in the lower left corner, possibly produced during the printing process. A quaint, Post-Civil War collection of 17 Presidential Portraits.
