l.r. Verso, label, Galerie E. DruetNote, E. Druet, official photographer for Rodin, gave Maurice Denis his first one-man exhibition in 1904. It was an exhibition of Italian views with an introductory essay by Andre Gide. It was followed by another exhibition in the Druet galleries in 1908. The name M Aubry in pencil appears on the label which may suggest a provenance of this well known Parisian collector.
