Mount with imprint on verso of "Brady's National Photographic Portrait Galleries. No. 352 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington D.C. and Broadway & Tenth St., N.Y." "Pres. Lincoln" written in ink on mount below image. Notable photograph of Abraham Lincoln taken January 8th, 1864 by Matthew Brady. Ostendorf comments on this image that Francis Grierson stated that Lincoln "rose from his seat, stretched his long, bony limbs upward as to get them into working order and stood like some solitary pine on a lonely summit." Ostendorf 86.
Condition
Slight fading and foxing, corners of mount clipped; very good.
