Description
An Egyptian black serpentine figure of Amun Re, Late New Kingdom, c. 1200 - 1075 BC, the god of Thebes is depicted seated on a throne, plinth at back with suspension hole behind neck, wearing feathered headdress with solar disk and false beard, his short kilt in decorated with incised lines and he rests his hands on his lap. H: 3 ¾ in (9.5 cm). Intact and a very attractive piece! Ex property of a Bedfordshire, England private collector and lecturer.
