Description
An attractive Apulian black-ware oinochoe, Magnia Graecia, c. 4th - 3rd Century BC, with a trefoil mouth, ribbed body, and face depicted on the lower handle, H: 9 1/3 in (23.8cm). Repaired at neck, vertical age crack on body. Ex Collection of a well-known Italian private collector beginning in the late 1940's. See: JP Morel, Céramique Campanienne. Les Formes. (Rome 1981).
