Description
A fine Lambayeque (Sican) stirrup vessel from Peru, c. 700 – 1300 AD. This nice example is 8 in wide, 7 in high and features a deity head flanked by a pair of birds. The bridge is decorated with step pyramid designs and serpent heads protrude from the base of the spouts. Good mineral deposits. Ex Gallatin estate.
