MAILEY ARTHUR: (1886-1967) Australian Cricketer. A good, small selection of three original pen and ink caricatures, each drawn and signed by Mailey on 8vo pages removed from an autograph album. The first depicts Vic Richardson (1894-1969, Australian Cricket Captain) in a profile head and shoulders pose, signed by Mailey with his initials ('AM') and also signed by Richardson with his name alone in dark fountain pen ink at the base; the second depicts Alan Kippax (1897-1972, Australian Cricketer) in a profile portrait pose, signed by Mailey with his initials ('AM') and also signed by Kippax with his name alone in dark fountain pen ink at the base; and the third depicts a gentleman, seemingly down on his luck, seated on a box in a full length pose, holding out a cup in one hand as he appeals for coins.
