OSBORNE THOMAS: (1632-1712) 1st Duke of Leeds. English Statesman, Lord High Treasurer 1673-79 and Lord President of the Council 1689-99. D.S., Danby, one page, folio, Wallingford House, 14th May 1677. The manuscript warrant is addressed to Sir Robert Howard and orders him to pay to Thomas Blagrave 'one of his Maties. Mussitians' the sum of forty pounds nine shillings and two pence, being his yearly fee. Neatly mounted and with some age wear and minor paper loss to the edges and with a lengthy tear (neatly repaired), just affecting part of the text but not the signature. About G
