Description
A Marilyn Monroe ["Norma Jeane Dougherty"] Signed Release Form, 1946. Used by the well-known pin-up artist, Earl Moran, showing that he paid "$15.00...this 29th day of July, 1946" to his twenty year-old model who would become the most famous actress in the world, signed by her in black fountain pen ink in the lower right corner "Norma Jeane Dougherty / 11348 Nebraska Ave. / W. LA 25 Calif.;" interestingly, the address the young Norma Jeane used was that of her 'Aunt' Ana Lower's home. (Please note there is evident mat burn where this piece was framed for a number of years as well as two areas of very slight tape residue on the verso where it was mounted to the mat board.)
5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Norma Jeane posed for Moran for a couple of years in the late 1940s during her modeling days and he was likely the only person besides Tom Kelley who photographed the soon-to-be Marilyn Monroe in the nude.
