Description
Beatles Acetate of 1962 Decca Audition. How early was this audition? George had not yet turned 18, and Ringo hadn't yet joined the band. This amazing two-sided acetate has more than an album's worth of selections, although some are mis-named (intentionally?) on the label - for those we've indicated the correct name in brackets. Included on Side One: "Till There Was You", "Cryin', Waitin', Hopin'", "To Know Her Is To Love Her", "Bessa-Mi-Moucho" ["Besame Mucho"], "Gonna Find Her" ("Searchin'"), "Like Dreamers Do", "Hello Little Girl", and "Love of the Loved". Side Two: "Money", "Sheik of Arabi" ["...Araby"], "Memphis Tennessee", "Cool Cats" ["Three Cool Cats"], "Lovin' You" ["Sure to Fall in Love With Love"], "September in the Rain", and "Take Good Care of My Baby". Condition: EX 7. From the Joe Pope Archive.
