This trout rod has a cork grip done in hammer style with a D/L aluminum reel seat over faded red bakelite spacer and the butt cap marked P.W. Arend Rod Denver. Arend was a contemporary of Goodwin Granger who made bamboo rods in Englewood, Colorado from the '20s to the 1950's. The guide wraps are gold with black tipping, N/S Phillipson ferrules were used, the butt ferrule is clicking, rod should fish well with a 4wt. The varnish is chipped and scraped from use; all pieces are full length and with fishing sets. Short Arend's are not often seen and reported to be a delight to fish, Good condition and comes in a canvas bag and modern aluminum tube.
