Description
A lot of 3 nice Egyptian faience amulets. Lot includes a pair of Eye of Horus amulets, 3rd Intermediate Period, c. 1075 - 712 BC, both bicolor, the body a pale green with black pupil and brow, (L: 2.3 cm & 1.6 cm). Both intact with minor chipping and holed lengthwise for suspension. The third item is a faience amulet of the god Bes, Late Period, c. 712 - 30 BC, double-sided with the deity facing on either side. He is depicted nude and wears a tall plumed headdress and rests his hands on his knees, (H: 3.9 cm). Intact, glaze now a very pale green. Ex Hamdy Sakr collection, London, acquired in the 1960’s - 1970’s.
