The three pieces feature a subtle floral decoration and rest on volute feet. The handles of the pots are fitted with two insulating rings made of bone. Each cover is crowned by a finial in the form of a berry.

Every piece is hallmarked with ‘Mon Odiot P. & Cie’, ‘TFres’ and the numbers ‘52133’, ‘52134’ or ‘52135’ as well as on the side with Minerva head.

The set is in good condition with minor signs of wear. The teapot measures 21.5 cm in height, the coffee pot measures 25.5 cm. The total weight is approx. 1,891 grams.

Maison Odiod (est. 1690)

Since its founding in 1690 by Jean-Baptiste Gaspard Odiot, the house of Odiot turned into one of the finest silver smiths of its time - under rule of Louis XV. Their success was founded in part on the high volume of orders from the imperial family; Odiot manufactured the crib for the king of Rome, son of Napoleon Bonaparte, which is now in the Vienna treasure chambers. The return of antique styles and use of gilded silver had a particular influence on the decoration and production processes. The reputation of the house of Odiot had always preceded it, and soon all of Europe knew of it. Today’s president Nicolas de La Mornière continues to create elegant works of extraordinary technical and artistic grade.
