1968 ANOTHER MOTHER FOR PEACE PENDANT; Rectangular pendant with the group's iconic blooming sunflower logo and motto, "War is not healthy for children and other living things." Raised information and 1968 date on verso, 1 5/8"h x 11/8" w. The AMP was founded 1967 by a group of women strongly opposed to the war in Vietnam. Their mission was to create a non-partisan, non-profit organization "to educate women to take an active role in eliminating war as a means of solving disputes between nations, people and ideologies. Notable people who were involved included: Donna Reed, Debbie Reynolds, Patty Duke, Barbara Rush, Mercedes McCambridge, Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, and Dick Van Dyke.
