Disc-Storage Cabinet with "Rockwood" Decoration
For discs up to 15 ¾ in. Ø, mahogany case with painted decoration depicting putti on the lid, floral motifs on the sides and musicians on the front, lever-operated double doors with relief molding, carved front legs with lion-paw feet and ten interior compartments. Size: 23 ½ x 18 x 48 ½ in. – Musical boxes with cabinets decorated in the style of Rookwood pottery were sold by Regina in the early 20th century. This disc-storage cabinet was presumably part of the same range.
