Gem-Set Gilt and Enamel Windmill Musical Automaton, Early 20th Century
Probably Hungarian, modeled as an hexagonal building with engine-turned brick decoration relieved by royal-blue enamel panels, pearls, large and smaller amethysts in mounts, the lower section with enameled windows, doors and engraved sliding drawer, tapering central section with scallop shell filigree spandrels, gallery and barley-twist cables connected to white enameled dome housing the small single-air cylinder movement that causes blue and white pearl-set sails to turn as the spring unwinds, 7 in. (18 cm) at widest point x 13 in. (33 cm) at highest. A musical objet de vertu in fine working condition!

Vergoldete Windmühle mit Edelsteinen und Zylinder-Musikwerk, frühes 20. Jh.
Vermutlich aus Ungarn, 6-eckiges Gebäude, graviertes Mauerwerk, königsblaue Emaille-Paneele, Perlen, kleine und große Amethysten in Fassungen, unterer Teil mit emaillierter Tür und Fenstern, außerdem mit gravierter Schublade, nach oben verjüngender Mittelteil mit filigranen Muschelornamenten, Geländer und Dach verbunden durch 4 gewendelte Seile, weiß emailliertes Dach, Flügel mit weißen und blauen Emaille-Paneelen mit Perlenbeatz, Aufzug der Mechanik durch Drehen der Flügel, Breite 18 cm, Höhe 33 cm. Ein musikalisches Kunstobjekt in sehr gut funktionierendem Zustand!
