EARLY FIREMAN'S LANTERN WITH GREEN GLOBE

Early brass fireman's lantern with original green globe that has the letters "Ass't. F.E. " etched into it, which stands for Assistant Fire Engineer. Early glass ring collars at top and bottom of globe. Chips and cracks below bottom collar where it was permanently put in place at factory. These are below the collar at the base of the globe and does not affect the appearance of the lantern in any way. Burner missing. Split in brass on ring and bolt missing. A scarce lantern. 18" h. to top of handle. EST. $500. - $1000.
