Description
This monoprint was perhaps the gift of a professional artist to Dick Clark, artists often sent him works as tribute. The photographic image of Dick Clark is most likely from the mid 50s, with a color overlay in the style of Andy Warhol, which is surrounded by various colors and shapes of frottage patterns, musical notes, the word "Bandstand" and "Philadelphia" camouflaged under a layer of graph lines, in a wide and lively medley of colors. The print is on a high quality rag paper, with the word "Monoprint" in pencil at the lower right corner; there is an artist's pencil signature on the lower right corner. The style suggests that this work may have been made in the 80s. Float mounted, in a gallery quality black wood frame. Monoprint: 29 1/2 x 23, Frame: 35 x 28 3/4
