Cher became almost as well known for her wild, provocative sense of style as she was for her successful recording and acting careers. She signed both of these NaNa brand boots in thick silver-colored pen "Love Cher '94." Cher appeared (as herself) that year in "Ready to Wear," Robert Altman's send-up of the fashion industry. The designer Sue Wong, among others, favored NaNa brand boots. Also in 1994, Cher's longtime collaborator and ex-husband Sonny Bono would be elected to Congress.

The boots are black leather, one-buckle, rounded toe style with black O'Sullivan brand soles. Creasing in the toe and overall softening of leather is consistent with wear by the famous owner.
