Description

1st item: Jade figural group depicting two carved birds amid prunus branches, one carrying a rose branch in its beak. 9"H. 2nd item: Footed and carved hardwood box inset with cloisonne panels depicting a dragon on front, back and top; the sides depicting a flaming sun setting over waves, 3"H x 6"W x 4-3/4"D. Accompanied by a carved hardwood stand with impressed numbers. Both Chinese, early 20th century.

Condition

1st item: losses to 2 leaves on the rose branch and plumage on back of bird's head. Stand is missing one of its five feet. 2nd item: some minor losses to top along the carved border at rear right edge.
