Aaron Bohrod (American, 1907-1992) oil on board trompe l'oeil still life painting, titled verso "Red Roses for a Blue Lady." Depicts red roses in a blue ceramic vase with figurine of a lady in voluminous skirts, a small model of a horse at her feet. Bohrod's signature appears upper right in an antique style valentine. Frank J. Oehlschlaeger Galleries label en verso. Weathered wood frame. Sight: 9 3/8" x 7 3/8". Frame: 18 1/8" x 16 1/8". Provenance: the collection of Stephen and Lisa Steiner Small, Nashville, Tennessee, purchased from Oehlschlaeger Galleries.
