Description
New to the market from the estate of a private collector. Made by "GWL"(Gerbruder, Wegerhoff, Ludenscheid) Berlin and with "Karl Burdach" (1891-1976) written inside left inside breast pocket with fountain pen (also written same way inside hat sweatband). Below name in pocket appears a stamped "1943". Tunic shows wear (a few small hole in back) and minor period repairs. Epaulettes appear to predate tunic which would make sense for this lieutenant General as they are worn. His Medal bar is attached as is his 1st class Iron Cross and Silver wound badge. Gold Bullion collar tabs and breast eagle. Some wear to pebble front buttons. Hat is also by GWL and is very good condition. Back of leather visor has common checkerboard pattern common to WWII period visor caps.
