Southern Italy, Greek period, Ca 4th century BCE. Rare pottery vessel looking akin to a modern bucket. Used by the Greeks to serve fruit and often seen in other Greek works as a symbol of fertility. Decorated with bands of deep brown against white background, Greek Key band near rim. 7-5/8" H x 10-3/8" D.
