SMOKY QUARTZ ENHYDRO POINT

A dramatic polished natural sculpture, this fine quartz point is tinged with pale smokiness and is filled with fascinating intersecting planes of interior crystal habit, rising to a craggy, multi-terminated point. Most fascinatingly, however, there is visible a tiny, moving bubble of water near the base, a rare occurrence, where the stone has incredibly grown around a water deposit and trapped the liquid inside, liquid so ancient that it can actually be of use in studying the prehistorical atmosphere. A dramatic and aesthetic specimen, it measures approximately 17 x 9 x 8 inches and weighs 60.5 lb.
