Description
APOLLO 11, 1969, FLOWN COMMAND MODULE KAPTON SWATCH
Seen in the iconic photographs as the tattered gold covering of the conical Command Module Columbia, of the Apollo XI, as it was recovered from the ocean on its return from the Moon, this is an approximately 1/2 x 5/16 fragment of Kapton foil heatshield coating. It is presented on a Ken Havekotte COA together with one such photograph, in a brochure of extensive information about Apollo XI, including a transcript of the log, comprehensive timeline, a map of lunar landing sites, and a first-day cover card commemorating the landing.
