This centerpiece tazza was manufactured around 1875 in Vienna. Made of embossed 800 silver it features a gadrooned décor and a curved and chased edge.There are two ovoid and movable handles on the narrow sides of the tazza. Alltogether, a very typical and elegant piece of heavy quality.
It is hallmarked with the Diana head (800 silver, 1872-1922) and and illegible maker's mark on the outside above one of the handles. The piece is in good condition with light wear. The foot of the tazza shows major cleaning marks. The size of the tazza is 19.5 x 28 cm (including the handles) , and the weight is about 710 grams. (cko)
