The figural cigar cutter was made in Austria in the 1920s. The head of the elephant is magnificently decorated and comprises of ivory tusks. Especially the animal’s ears and his trunk are very realistically rendered; the ivory tusks add to the overall impression. The tassel situated at the end of the headgear leads to the more functional part - the actual cutter, which is crafted in metal and clad in bronze.
The cigar cutter is in very good condition and fully functioning. It shows only a few traces of age and use. Its dimensions are approx. 19 x 4 x 6 cm (length x height x width).
