These three apothecary jars date to the first half of the 19th century. The jars are made of bright turned wood and feature a smooth, cylindrical form. One of them still contains the original filling. The original labeling indicates the contents: ‘RHIZ: POLYPOD:’, ‘SEM: ERUC:’ and ‘SEM: PAPVER: ‘. Two of the lids bear dosage instructions on the insides of the lids.
The jars are in good condition with signs of age and wear. One of lids has got a ca. 3 cm long crack. The jars partly show some wormholes (no activity). Each jar is 18.5 cm in height, including the lids. (tm)
