Sober elegance
Dimensions: 157 x 83 x 45 cm
This mahogany veneered vitrine, probably made in Berlin around 1850 features a sober, elegant form. It is conceived in the style of Louis-Philippe, small playful ornaments on the sides and along the feet adorn the wooden carcass. There is a large, oval window in the door. Inside there are three shelves.
The vitrine is in good condition with signs of age and use. The veneer shows bulges here and there as well as age-related cracks. The piece of furniture shows partially colour and material loss, part of the carving work is missing on the right foot. There are four shelves included. They are covered in wax cloth, one is not attached. The lock is broken. On the back there is label attached from the former owner. The vitrine measures 157 cm in height, 83 cm in width and 45 cm in depth.
