Description

French School, "Winged Victory," c. 1920, gilt bronze, the winged figure holds two laurel wreaths, on a ball plinth, to a stepped circular verde antico marble base, H.- 19 in., W.- 9 1/2 in., D.- 7 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age. Piece is observed with a nice patina. A ½ scratch, exposing gilt, is observed to the base below the figure’s feet, with smaller exposed gilt spots observed on the left wing tip. A 1 inch chip is observed to the back of the marble base. An elegant example.
