French Empire Style Carved Poplar, Oak, and Elm Buffet a Deux Corps, mid 19th c., the ogee canted corner crown, over double glazed doors, on a stepped base with two frieze drawers, above double cupboard doors, flanked by chamfered stiles, on ogee bracket feet, with ebonized accents overall, H.- 82 in., W.- 45 1/2 in., D.- 17 3/4 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. There is light wear to the wood throughout. The right cupboard door is slightly warped and sticks out in the lower left corner. There is some white mildew spotting on the interior of the right frieze drawer. Braces have been added on the back to secure the connection between the upper and lower sections. A handsome piece.
