Pair of French Art Deco Barrel Back Bergeres, c. 1930, the curved scrolled crest with tassels, to an elaborate tassel trim and eight inch fringe skirt, on tapered ebonized legs on casters, now in ochre fabric, H.- 33 1/2 in., W.- 29 1/2 in., D.- 24 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. One chair is observed with slight dents to the upholstery and is now lacking two tassels at the armrest, and two tassel strings are lacking from the skirt at the proper left. The other chair has some slight dents noted to the upholstery and is now lacking a tassel at the armrest, the opposite tassel is attached, but with only a few threads. A marvelous pair.
