Unusual Monogrammed Chinese Export Nanking Lidded Tureen, ca. 1800, the "WG" initials in a polychrome cartouche decorated with wheat and grapes, h. 7-1/2", w. 10-1/2", d. 7-3/4".

Evidence of an old professional repair to the pomegranate knop. A blemish and chip (1/2" in length) in the glaze to the knop. Scattered firing blemishes to the surfaces of the tureern and lid and very minor losses to pigment throughout. Two hairline cracks to the glaze near the top edge of the tureen.
