Two Pieces of Mid-19th-Century Missouri Coin (.900) Silver, by Jaccard & Co., St. Louis, Missouri, including a julep cup of traditional form, monogrammed "SAMS.", h. 3-3/4", dia. 3-1/4", and a "Fiddle Swell" soup ladle, monogrammed "MW", l. 12", 9.32 total t. oz. An identical cup and ladle are illustrated in Norman Mack, Missouri's Silver Age: Silversmiths of the 1800s (Carbondale, IL: Southern Illinois University Press, 2005), pp. 87 & 93.
