Signed and dated lower left ‘KÜHN 06’
Dimensions: 64 x 49 cm
Good condition
Provenance: German private collection
In this oil painting from 1906 Gustav Kühn has managed to capture a beautiful summer’s day somewhere in the country side. Kühn has depicted this sunny day in an impressionistic manner but with fine brushstrokes and rich colours. The side of a farmhouse leaps into the painting on the right hand side, whereas the left is dominated by a blooming tree under which a lamb grazes. The artist has skillfully captured a harmonious scene which manages to remind the viewer of just how beautiful nature can be.
The oil painting is in good condition but shows some signs of framing around the rim. It also has been mounted on to another canvas. The painting was restored at a later point. The dimensions are 64 x 49 cm and it is signed and dated lower left with ‘KÜHN 06’.
