Andy Warhol (American, 1928 - 1987). "The Brooklyn Bridge #1". Original color silkscreen. 1983. Signed in black marker, center right. Light cream wove paper. The full sheet. Fine impression. Fine condition. Literature/catalogue raisonne: cf. Feldman/Schellmann II.290. A scarce poster. The auction record is $3,889 at Bloomsbury Auctions, London, 6/28/2005, lot #395. The design was created by Warhol to mark the centenary of the Brooklyn Bridge in 1983. A smaller version of this poster was used for the Art Expo NY in the same year. Published by Impress Graphics, Port Chester, New York. Undoubtedly to be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonne of Warhol's posters by Paul Marechal.
