Signed by Ray Bradbury in ball-point pen on the front free endpaper. Currey "D" state binding - he designates four hardcover binding states (B to E, including the limited issue bound in asbestos), with no known sequence, but all follow the wrapper-bound "A" state. Bradbury portrays a frightening vision of the future where firemen start fires and burn books to protect society from too much wisdom and knowledge. Bradbury’s best-known science fiction tale, concerning censorship and anti-intellectualism that is carried on in an alternate society that conducts huge book burnings as part of the social agenda. Condition
Jacket slightly toned, ½" closed tear at the middle of the front joint, paper tape reinforcemens on the verso at spine ands and front corners; volume with slight rubbing at spine ends and corners, near fine in like jacket.
