The featured ruby is set within a white topaz floret bezel supported by tapering shoulders, completed by a two and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "925". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set oval cabochon cut natural ruby, measuring 12.15 x 10.72 x 6.50mm, 10% bulge factor, approximate weight of 10.06ct, clarity is heavily included, type II, medium dark, very slightly brownish, red color, (GIA R 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light somewhat diffusely, transparent to translucent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Indications of laboratory high temperature heat treatment, with glass & flux additives. Graded in the setting. Ruby has a low tolerance to rhodium plating, repolishing the surface, & ultrasonic cleaning. Fourteen prong set round mixed cut natural white topazes, measuring 2.20 - 2.10 x 1.40 mm, approximate total weight of 0.70ct, clarity is eye clean, colorless, very slightly grayish, white color, (GIA W 0/3), cut is good.
