Description

18TH C SCOTTISH TALL CLOCK - Mahogany Chippendale Tall Case Clock by William Scott of Beith, North Ayrshire, Scotland, active 1774-1794. Marked on face. Bonnet has swan-neck pediment with inlaid rosettes, original rippled glass. Time and strike brass works with brass face having enamel filled engraved decoration, applied brackets, seconds sweep and date bit. Japanned tin cover on pendulum, split quarter reeded columns on case, molded lower case set on turned feet. Includes crank. 82 1/2" tall. 18" x 10". Good condition.
