MAX BAER THREE PAGE HILARIOUS HANDWRITTEN LETTER WITH FANTASTIC CONTENT Dated 10/8/1948. This letter has been signed twice by Baer. Each Page measures 5 x 7 1/2 with the last one being written back to back. Comes with original envelope which is also signed. The envelope is addressed to "Meyer Fat Boy Shapiro, King of the Tower" Letter even has "Abbott & Costello" reference. It reads "Hello Meyer , You're a big High Hat tragedian of show business and I guess too busy to answer my last note to you. Benny Chavez is here at my house and tells me they all know "Fatty" Shapiro in Denver so I thought I'd let him put this in his pocket until he sees you. I leave for Los Angeles to make a picture with Abbott and Costello on the 4th of next month . Called "Africa Screams" and when they see the picture I guess they will. How is Dorothy and family ? Give them my love also Carrie and Uncle Ben , I'll bet he's still easy to beat at cards. Well Cheerio for now Fat Boy , still your work out partner for speed MAX "MEYER'S BARTENDER" BAER". A member of the Boxing Hall of Fame he won the Heavyweight Championship of the world in 1934 by beating Primo Carnera , in 1935 in one of boxing's greatest upsets he lost the title to Cinderella Man Jim Braddock. Baer died in 1959.
