RARE STEAM POWER PLANT MODEL - An Early Historic and Extremely Rare Steam Power Plant Model, built by 'C.F. Dauxdater, Lehigton, PA, 10.8.1894', as inscribed on ornate boiler brass plate; consisting of a horizontal single cylinder steam mill engine on a cast iron base with 3/4" bore x 1 1/4" stroke; two cylinder drain cocks; a functional pulley driven flyball governor and sliding crosshead, set on oak top table. Charles F. Dauxdater born 1860, was an engineer for the Lehigh Valley RR, obtained an 1892 patent for means for securing well-boring drills. Wood base is 25" x 21". Water tower is 22" high (incl. base). Missing small tank cover.
