MAGNIFICENT FRENCH MANTEL CLOCK WITH GARNITURES - Hour 8-Day Time and Strike, circa 1890, in gilt bronze and crystal with cloisonne decoration. The concave architectural form of the clock is surmounted by a large urn with two hand painted concave Sevres porcelain portrait panels signed "H.Poitevin". The matching urns have painted allegories for Art and Music by the same decorator. Works are marked "A-1" & "Ch. Hour, France". 19" x 15" x 7 1/2" clock, 15" x 5" x 5" urns. Faux mercury pendulum is cracked.
