Decoration: This exact piece illustrated in Chinese Qing Dynasty Glass Treasures From the Gadient Collection, Volume 3, illustration # 49.A 'peacock blue' bottle vase of meiping-form, decorated with yellow overlay deeply carved with sprays of lilies and plums growing from rockwork, the mouth and shoulder carved with a foliated band, the yellow foot with a recessed tablet incised with a Daoguang nian zhi(made during the Daoguang period) four character mark within a square. Daoguang period 1820-50.A similar bottle illustrated in Brown(1987), cat. no. 44.Daoguang(1821-50) mark incised on a relief carved square of yellow glass.
