A cultured pearl and diamond foliate pendant. The creamy-white cultured pearl, measuring approximately 12.6 by 13mms, to the marquise-shape and brilliant-cut diamond hinged surmount, suspended from a trace-link chain with brilliant-cut diamond collet intervals. Total diamond weight 0.46ct, stamped to surmount. Length of pendant 1.9cms. Length of chain 40cms. Weight 9.2gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear. Cultured pearl slightly off-round, creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones. Fairly good skin with some surface blemishes, to include pits. Fairly good lustre. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if this cultured pearl is from a fresh or saltwater source. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Scattered inclusions visible under magnification. Diamonds in good condition with minor abrasion. Safety catch on the hinged surmount slightly loose, but the hinge clasp is otherwise secure. Stamped 18ct, D046.
