Rembrandt van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-1669), "Old Man with a Divided Fur Cap"-1640, late first state impression, etching with some drypoint (Bartsch 265, Hollstein 265, Hind 170, Borklund 40-A), signed within matrix top left "Rembrandt f. 1640". Framed 17.25" x 15.125". Unframed approximately 5.8" x 5.4". Accompanied with certificate of authenticity from Creighton-Davis Gallery, Washington D.C. issued January 1, 1998 and copy of invoice for etching with the same date. Provenance: Creighton-Davis Gallery, Washington D.C., whereby acquired by a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
