400-300 BC. A D-section bangle attached to an old collector's card with handwritten text to the reverse: 'Ancient Egyptian Glass Bracelet B.C. 400-300? excavated at Alexandria. From the Swansea Colln' and number '70' within a circle, 'D/P'. 15 grams, 77 x 69mm including card (3 x 2 3/4"). Ex Dudley Collings collection, thence by descent; formerly in 'The Swansea collection'; found Alexandria in the 19th century. The 'Swansea Collection' refers to the Egypt Centre, University of Wales Swansea.
