1st century BC-1st century AD. A mixed group of bronze fittings comprising: an appliqué disc with champ levé enamelled ivy-leaf triskele, stud to the reverse; a toggle fastener comprising a pierced shank and square plaque with enamelled quatrefoil. Cf. MacGregor, M. Early Celtic Art in North Britain, vol.2, Leicester, 1976, item 41; Hattatt, R. Ancient Brooches and Other Artefacts, Oxford, 1989, items 29, 30. 17 grams total, 26-41mm (1 - 1 1/2"). Found near Colchester, Essex, UK.
