Description
Morris Graves (1910-2001 Washington) Untitled Glowing Flower 1948 Tempera & Ink on Paper 11''x5'' Sight. Historical painted hand written letter that reads as follows: ''My Dear Mrs. Soomaker: I came (as I promised) all the way from mid-pacific to greet you & see what you have in the way of bonsai trees. After I saw your city I felt so sick with horror that I was right in around it traveling so fast that I am here already in the land of dark stone & mist soaked mosses. Listening to a thousand dragon flies of west stone hill. From where I am (heart at peace) writing you this January letter. Upon asking mister Graves about your city he did deeply observe although entrance was not necessary, that if you and a few others with good karma were to leave that city it would fall as though made of ash. Mrs. Soomaker! You stand in a position of gravest responsibility. Yours in spirit. (Mrs) O. Harada.'' Fold creases and one small tear. Total framed size of 20''x31''.
