Description
A WEDGWOOD JASPERWARE TEA SERVICE. Comprised of a teapot, covered sugar bowl, and creamer. Together with six Wedgwood porcelain teacups, and a creamer and sugar in the Glen Mist pattern, and a Wedgwood Patrician teacup, and four Coalport Lady Hamilton demitasse cups
Condition
These pieces all have light dust and grime build up. The newer wedgwood pieces have light signs of wear while the others have more noticeable wear. The cream color cups have some crackle in the glaze, and noticeable yellow discoloration to the inside from use and one of the pieces has a spot on the outside. The wedgwood jasper ware tea set has light cracking from firing in the white decoration and the creamer has a light split to the top of the handle from firing. The creamer has .25" diameter yellow discoloration spots to the inside and crackle to the inner glaze. The teapot has significant grime build up rubbed into the surface and the lid is cleaner and a different shade of blue (may not be original). The lid has a pen tip sized chip and the lip of the teapot has a .25" diameter chip. The pour of the teapot has a break, about an inch from of the tip, it has been broken into about four shards and re-glued. There is visible adhesive build up and and a few missing chips. The creamer's handle is broken off in the middle and have been re-glued. There is significant glue residue from the repair. There are some light scuffs to the jasper ware as well.
