Krasnyansky first gained prominence by pioneering a new watercolor technique, adding paper texture to his colors, making them more like oil. He earned a master's degree in architecture and fine art, but moved to the United States in 1975 to gain more freedom of expression. His figures incorporated elements of his Eastern heritage as well as inspiration from the cubist ideas of Picasso and Braque, as well as American culture. MEASURMENTS: 16-1/2" x 13-3/4".
